Johnny's NASCAR began as a fund raising business. The owner John Lee had a double lung transplant on March 16, 2003 at the University of Washington Medical Center, Seattle WA. After returning home to Kennewick, he purchased a local gift shop and added licensed sports products to the inventory as part of an established plan he developed while still in Seattle recouperating from the transplant.
The plan was to return home and establish a non-profit to provide help for fellow transplant patients. After receiving a lung transplant, he was taken by the meaning of the wonderful gift he had been given. Upon returning home, he established NorthWest Lung, Inc. a 501 c 3. Realizing that the origination would need a solid base of funding, he purchased the gift shop. He does not take a salary from the shop, rather all net funds go to either directly support transplant patients by paying for rental housing near the U.W.M.C or to develop other business ventures to increase the funds available to help N.W.L.
In addition, in November 2007 we created Cartridge Express, an ink jet and laser toner cartridge re-manufacturing business. We take in old empty cartridges and recycle them to be used again, and we purchase factory produced compatibles from China. We sell ink jet and laser toner cartridges for most desk top printers.
You can help our effort by going to our sister web sites and either; donate, purchase your favorite sports memorabilia, or purchase ink jet or laser toner cartridges.Join Today!
